Christa Stroo is a Dutch photographer based in Vaassen, The Netherlands, who focuses on photography centered around light, color, and pattern.

Ever since she started photography with her grandfather's old camera, she has been drawn to these three key elements. She looks around and notices the way sunlight creates shadows on a wall or the shifting colors in the sky. To her, nature has a natural way of creating beautiful things—whether through patterns on the beach, trees, leaves, or water.

Christa is not a photographer who plans her images in advance. When she sees something compelling, she simply has to capture what she observes. She also makes space to step back and take in her surroundings; in a fast-paced world, pausing to appreciate what she sees gives her a sense of peace.
